HL-666 Wheel Hub Machining Center

A purpose-built CNC platform engineered around wheel hub geometry — up to 35% faster cycle time than a standard VMC on the same hub, with the rigidity and thermal stability a continuous line demands.

What is the HL-666? The HALLERBS HL-666 is a specialty CNC machining center purpose-built for high-volume wheel hub and brake-disc production. It is configured to the part rather than repurposed from a general VMC, delivering up to a 35% cycle-time reduction, an 8,000 rpm spindle, 48 m/min rapid traverse and 0.006 mm positioning accuracy verified to VDI 3441 — with a choice of Siemens, FANUC or Mitsubishi control.

Built around the part

Designed for the hub, not adapted to it.

Most shops machine wheel hubs on a general-purpose vertical center. The HL-666 takes the opposite approach: fixturing, spindle and axis configuration are optimized specifically for hub geometry. The result is shorter tool paths, fewer setups, and cycle time you can bank — on a machine engineered to run a high-volume line around the clock.

  • Machine built around hub geometry — shorter tool paths, fewer setups
  • Twin-spindle / high-rapid configurations for maximum throughput
  • Hollow oil-cooled ballscrew + four-way cooling for thermal stability on continuous lines
  • FEM-analyzed, high-rigidity casting for repeatable accuracy under load
  • Choice of Siemens, FANUC or Mitsubishi control to match your line

Real hub machining, not a render.

This is genuine production footage of a wheel hub being machined on an HL-666 — the shorter tool paths and rigidity that turn into throughput on a live line. On a tier-1 automotive line, HALLERBS specialty machines cut cycle time by ~18% on the same part.
